Angela Lee, Founder & CEO
Angela Lee is an educator & entrepreneur. As Assistant Dean at Columbia Business School, Angela is a highly rated instructor of strategy, leadership and innovation. At 37 Angels, she evaluates early stage startups and teaches women how to invest in them. Angela is a sought-after expert on CNBC, MSNBC, Bloomberg TV, and Fox Business and is regularly featured in media outlets such as Forbes, Huffington Post, and Fast Company. Entrepreneur Magazine recognized Angela as one of Six Innovative Women to Watch in 2015. Angela has a BA from UC Berkeley and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
Dina Ufberg, Investment Associate
Dina is passionate about education, technology, and driven by a goal to join the two. Previously, Dina worked at Jerusalem Venture Partners as an operations manager and analyst and as a business analyst at Scholastic Inc. Dina completed a Fulbright in Hong Kong and holds a BA from The University of Michigan and is a Master Candidate from Columbia School of International Affairs and an MBA Candidate at Columbia Business School.
Julia Arnhold, Investment Associate
Julia has a background in corporate communications, marketing, and business development, and most recently completed a Columbia Business Social Enterprise Fellowship at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in NYC. Julia is passionate about technology, education, and the arts and has worked on projects that focus on merging these spaces. Julia holds a BA from the University of Pennsylvania, and is an MBA candidate at Columbia Business School.
Miriam Bekkouche, Community Manager
Miriam has been building innovative programs and resources for start-ups since 2010. She currently manages the entrepreneurship program at Sarah Lawrence College. Previously, Miriam was an Entrepreneur-in-Residence with GSF Global, India's premier start-up accelerator. She also founded the Canadian Technology Accelerator in NYC (CTA@NYC), a program of the Government of Canada. Originally from Montreal, Miriam holds a BA from McGill and MA from the College of Europe.
Marsha Dhingra, Project Coordinator
Marsha has a background in HR, sales & marketing, and accounting. She has had the opportunity to work on projects with the San Antonio Spurs, TED, and the Texas Film Hall of Fame Awards. Marsha is passionate about leadership, business, and media. Currently, she is assisting Charlie O’Donnell at Brooklyn Bridge Ventures. She holds a B.A. in Marketing from the University of Texas and an MSA in Accounting from the University of Houston.
Caryn Effron, Advisory Board
Caryn is a senior managing director with Ackman Ziff Real Estate and has 20 years of experience in commercial real estate finance. Caryn is also an entrepreneur and angel investor - she is the founder of GoGirl Finance, an online community that empowers women to become financially confident. She is also on the board of Say Yes to Education and Games for Change. Caryn received her BA from The University of Michigan and MBA from NYU.
Nandini Narula, Advisory Board
Nandini is an entrepreneur, angel investor, and consultant with expertise in technology. She was also the co-founder and CTO of GreenMango, an online marketing platform for small business owners in India. Nandini holds an MSc degree in Economic Development from the London School of Economics and a BS in Computer Science from the University of Michigan. Nandini is an Echoing Green Fellow (2008) and Cartier Women’s Initiative Laureate (2007).
